  Blackchords "Hailed as 'the new' Radiohead." (THE FLY). These guys are from Melbourne Australia and have the perfect band name! A dark and broodingly melodic guitar ensemble that could slice Ryan Adams up with some carrots and turn him into one of those wholesome shakes, stealing his nutrients pitilessly. This alternative rock band with French bar-room style pop tricks and sounds have songs so achingly melancholy that The Spinto Band in comparison are AC/DC. They’ve a sleek sonic view on songwriting and given the right amount of space might just gather a crowd of shoe-gazing troubadours looking for inspiration, good vibes and emotional direction.

  Boston's Big D and the Kids Table are returning to Exeter in 2010, 14 years after they met at Boston College. Thanks to the insane live show they put together they have gained themselves a reputation that's so intoxicatingly amazing! Big D are a Dub/punk band with DIY ethic and a dynamic take on ska that's seen them producing catchy and dancy songs like “Steady Riot,” that's reminiscent of …And Out Come the Wolves-era Rancid, to the ominous minor-key creepiness of “Snakebite” to the slower, sunny “Shining On,” which wouldn’t sound out of place on a Lily Allen record.
